Transjakarta to Add 100 Units This Year

Sooner or later, Transjakarta bus fleet is added up to 100 new units this year. PT Transjakarta could add 900 units.

Until the end of the year, there will be 900 new buses

PT Transjakarta Director, Budi Kaliwono disclosed bus brand that will soon finish is Mercedes Benz. Yet all are still in process, either production or administration. "We will add 100 units," he stated, Saturday (7/16).

PT Transjakarta Operated 450 Buses to Tourism Sites

He added the rest other buses are still in production process in the body of a car. Later on, buses are being produced, will be shipped gradually. "Until the end of the year, there will be 900 new buses. But all depends on the production of car body," he expressed.

Those buses would operate in corridors and routes that often passed by the passenger. It is hoped able to improve the service performance.

Last June, Transjakarta successfully carried 10,206,000 passengers. The number is higher in the first half of this year. The increase in the number of passengers always happens every month.

Based on the data, in January, 8.51 million of passenger are carried, 8.15 million in February, 9.01 million in March, 9.10 million in April and 10 million in May.

It happens because Transjakarta also open routes that often passed by the passenger.
